FCHS Athletics Program Overview
Fluvanna County High School Athletic Departments Goal and Mission is to provide as many opportunities for our student/athletes as possible. We strive to make it possible for all of our student/athletes to be able to condition, try out and improve their athletic or academic activity skills which will make them better students and productive graduates of FCHS.
Fluvanna County High School stresses the importance of a well-balanced activities program for students and realizes that many hours are given for study, practice and participation in any athletic or activity endeavor. Fluvanna County High School encourages parent and community support of students for their achievements, as these activities are instrumental in developing community interest and pride.
You are invited to support our students and the school through attendance at the various events at Fluvanna County High School. You will find them to be most enjoyable and worthy of your time and effort. You can also support our programs by joining the Athletic Boosters Club or by being a member of our Fluco Athletic Society by being a contributor to our Athletic Department.
School is more meaningful and enjoyable when a student becomes involved in an activities program. Whatever a student's skills or ability level, athletic opportunities are available. While some teams hold try-outs for positions, other sports welcome all participants. Interest and enthusiasm are the most important qualifications. It is our goal as an Athletic Department to enhance all students/athletes skills and to help them to become the most productive person they can be promoting team work and accomplishments both on the field and in the classroom.
Participation in student activities enhances the regular school day and enriches the school experience. National studies indicate that students who participate in athletics and other activities.
